Nashville-based Rubicon Equities (Rubicon) has received MDHA Design Review Committee approval on its Printers & Bankers Alley project. The project is intended to take an underutilized segment of Bankers Alley & transform it into a vibrant and walkable corridor. Once complete it will interconnect Printers Alley, the Arcade, 2nd Avenue and other notable downtown Nashville districts.

Speaking for the first time publicly, Rubicon touts that chief among the project’s benefits is approximately 12,000 to 15,000 sf of retail lining both sides of Bankers Alley and making the underutilized corridor into a living alley with approximately 300 residential units delivering much needed attainable rental space to downtown.

The project replaces no contributing structures, only a dated multi-level parking garage that provides contract parking and with no street activation. The design of the project is by the Nashville office of STG Design, who synergistically is also working on the rebuilding of 2nd Avenue, features intricate brick and stonework on its lower levels, matching the aesthetic of surrounding areas and adding to the authenticity of the development.
