Renovations to the 1940s-era building in Germantown are well underway and will soon become a new Taco Mamacita. Located at 1234 Sixth Avenue North, the new 4,500-square-foot space will be converted into a full-service restaurant. The building will also feature a new structural steel patio which will an indoor/outdoor bar. The existing building was the long-time home to Little’s Fish Market, which closed in March 2021. Mass Excavation activities are well underway on a new mixed-use development on Wedgewood Avenue. The initial plan for the site was submitted back in 2014 and received approval in April of 2015. Fast-forward to today, the 7-story development is preparing to place foundations. While nearly 7 years may seem like a long timeline, the timing couldn’t be any better. WEHO Nashville is located at the intersection of Wedgewood Ave & Stewart place. This centers the development between interstate 65 & the Fairgrounds. Tribe & Play are Nashville mainstays for the LGBTQ+ community as well as a frequent off-Broadway stop for tourist. More than $1 million in upgrades have been completed in the well-known Midtown bars to improve the overall appearance and customer experience. Allard Ward Architects completed the design and Dowdle Construction Group undertook the renovation of the 10,000 square feet venue. Excavation and foundation activities have commenced at Bristol Dickerson Pike, a new multi-family project by Bristol Development. The development was previously called “The Link” according to previous news articles, however, the latest documents did not carry that name or logo. Slide the image to see What’s Now & Next.
